Yup! Exactly what it is all dressed up in Pontiac clothing. This is an 04' so it's the LS1 with a 6spd manual. Coil Overs all around and some sticky tires. Other than a Flowmaster exhaust and a cold air kit (which probably isn't worth two cents the way it's set up) it's pretty much stock. You can't really tell from the photo but the way it's set up the roofline is only a couple inches higher than a Corvette. It handles like you would not believe.

It could use about 100-150 more horsepower to be really interesting!

I'm going to go off the beaten path here and say that I'd get a car that isn't particularly valuable or even all that collectible, although they do have a rabid cult like following.

I've already owned and driven one of these cars but recently sold it because it was too expensive to keep and maintain.

Passed on a '69 Camaro Pace Car (the real deal, no cheesy decals on the sides). On consignment at an independent dealer, pushy sales guy, had trouble getting questions answered. I almost caved when I started it - nothing like the sound of a small block Chevy!

So we "settled" for this '07 car. Tons of fun! Scared the crap out of me the first few times I put the pedal down.

I'd love the The 2022 Cayman GT4 RS but it would not be a daily driver. Too track focused and too noisy for true grand touring.

Your daily driver is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Most folks don't realize the pony's lurking under those hoods . . . a modern classic and a legit muscle car.

My first car was a TR-2. I would be happy with a TR-3 since there are more of them and the brakes are a little better. You don't take much with you and never, ever leave anything in it.
