Cars would be a big problem for me, if money was no object. In addition to the usual Nomads, sedan deliveries, Vettes, Cobras, Superbirds, Etc.......................the list is pretty endless.......

I always liked this particular 1953 Studebaker Commander

And in the process of looking, found these:

It would be ridiculous and make GAS pale badly.

I have a friend that is a Studebaker enthusiast. He has several including a Commander, Golden Hawk, Lark, and a couple of trucks. This one is my favorite. He recently had the interior reupholstered but hasn't put it back together yet. Avanti R2.

When I was a kid my father had a 1952 Studebaker, I don't remember the model though but I want to say a Commander, it had a small V8 and was a 4 door, it ran like a top, and had low mileage but he traded it in in 1962 on a 1959 Ford Country Sedan station wagon because of our large and growing family. The Ford turned out to be a bondoed rusted out POS under the bondo. It was a big mistake, I can still remember driving away from the car lot the day he traded it in, he loved that car. I was about 9 years old. It could have been a Champion like this one though, it was a darker green:

Always been a Pontiac guy. I've had two 79 Trans Ams, a 65 Lemans (birth year car) 86 6000STE, 89 Bonneville SSE, 69 Grand Prix Model J. I still have my 68 Firebird 400 and I picked up the Late model GTO last year. The one I wish I had kept is the 65 Lemans. Really regret letting that go.

Heck Pontiac's are where my screen name comes from "TinIndian".

I tried to buy a '65 GTO in the early 70's from a friend of mine, it had a 400, tri power and a 4 speed but was beat (on this second engine) but he decided not to sell, I don't know what happened to it. But my all time favorite is that '62 Pontiac Catalina SD 421 that I posted a few pages back, I think those things are beautiful. I like all GM cars though., some Chryslers, I've never owned a Ford not because I don't like them just that I started out buying Chevy's when I was a kid and stuck to GM cars.

This is my other current car, it runs like a top, has an LT-1 and limited slip, dual exhaust (all factory) in it, hot rod station wagon, kids and geezers like me love it  it actually looks very good, this picture is bad like all of mine are: 1994 Those trailer lights in front are directionals and running lights, I was going to take them off when I first bought it until I realized they were lights.

In 1977 one of my high school auto shop classmates saw a classified ad in the paper that just read "1969 Mustang needs work". This is what he bought for $1500. Needed a clutch.View attachment 4671714
I begged a ride for that. Guy was cruising down my street when we were in high school. I stepped out in front of him, so he stopped

Got all 4 gears worth. I’m not a ford guy by any means, but it definitely put a grin on my face

As much as I love old Ferraris, for some reason I was never all that into the 250 GTO as much as the second version of it.

Mike N. will appreciate my choice... 68 Hemi Dart Super Stock

First car I thought of when I saw the thread title.

While the modern super cars are impressive, there's nothing like the brute force and ignorance of old school cars like this.

LOVE the TA! That’s my HS graduation year car. My pops arranged for a buddy of his to loan one to me for my the Homecoming Parade. True story: I grew up in NC. When I went to pick it up, the guy takes me into his office and over to a dorm-sized refrigerator, from which he pulls a 3/4 full quart jar of crystal clear North Carolina moonshine and hands it over! I looked at it, looked at him, and said, “I guess I don’t have to worry about running out of gas!” So happy to have survived that weekend and actually remember most of it!

But here’s my lottery car:
