DREAM much? (about amps)

How many of you guys dream about amps/ basses/ effects/ performances?

id say "big amps" and "performing" (with all the crazy lighting effects and screens) comes into my brain at night at least 4 times a week. I just woke up, and am worn from the "show" lol... its the kind of worn where if you were up until like 5am (after playing all night) and you start to feel energized again on no sleep somehow

what about you? dream much?

I keep having this recurring dream.

It starts out with me deciding that I really need one of these new small lightweight amps. I go out and buy this really nice sounding 500 watt amp.
I take it to band practice and it sounds great in the mix. Almost as nice as my big heavy tube amp. I decide that I am going to use it at the big show we have coming up.
At the show things are going great. Packed house with a dis-proportionate amount of great looking woman dancing and really getting into the music.
My tone was good but after the first set I thought I would dial in a little more gain and boost the low end a little more. I bumped the volume up a couple notches too.
First song into the second set I'm real happy with my tone but I thought I needed just a little more bass and gain for our next song. I quickly make the adjustment while the singer was chatting with the crowd and the GP adjust his tuning.
After the singer gets the crowd wound up we go into the song. This is my favorite song we do because I really get to show off my stuff.
Ten bars into the song I was happy with the adjustments I made on the amp. We were ROCKING! The place was going wild. I step up for my big part and start jammin.
Five bars in the red fault light comes on and the amp shuts down. I quickly look back at my amp and I realize that I TURNED THE KNOBS PAST NOON!!!!

The crowd gets mad and starts turning on us. The woman are throwing their drinks at me and booing!
The band struggles through the rest of the song without me while I dig my Agular Tone Hammer DI and the sound man helps me get hooked up and going.
The singer tries to entertain the crowd and bring some energy back to the room but we could see the people filing out the doors.
We go into the next song but the sound guy has my DI all messed up and I sound like crap.
The crowd keeps leaving and by the end of the song the place is empty except for the bar staff. Even my girlfriend left with some other guy.
We try and go into the next song on our list but the club owner walks up and tells the BL that we should just pack it up and go. He hands the BL half of the money we agreed to.
All of my band mates are looking at me like I just killed their dog and the BL grabs my arm and pulls me aside.
He fires me on the spot and said he was using my cut to help pay the other members.
I pack up my gear in disgrace and head home.
When I get home I see a note from my girlfriend. She said she met a guy that's the lead singer in a touring band and she is leaving to go on the road with him.
That's when I break. I go off the wagon and start drinking. After I get good and drunk I decide I needed something more so I go out and get a 8 ball of coke.
My life spirals out of control. After two weeks I have sold off all my gear for drugs and booze and don't have any money left to pay my rent so I get evicted from my house. I end up living in a box down by the river and see my life pass before my eyes while I nod out with a syringe hanging out of my arm.

I wake up in a cold sweat and look around and see my room and my girlfriend laying next to me. I jump out of bed and run to my music room and see my beloved Fender tube amp sitting on my 15's. I walk over and give it a big hug and grab the bottle of Bayer extra strength back and body and pop a couple of them and head back to bed.

How else could they be in our dreams if they DON'T go to bed?

The worst is when I've taken too long to setup and our time is up. My amp setup is always more complicated in dream land.

However there is a small percentage of TBers suffering from a nightmare of a particular reoccurring thread.......:hiding:
