drill press as a ...

since there are questions about drill presses.. anybody use a drill press with a dremel cut off wheel to chop off the top of small plastic parts, such as plastic knobs for example?

Never tried it, I always use my dremel. Seems like the drill press might be a tad slow.

thanks for the reply. I think it is slow too but for plastic it may be ok?? I think the drill press can go up to 3000 rpm no load

Try it. I'm sure everyone knows drill presses aren't good at that sideways force, but plastic isn't that tough.
