Drinking and Ebay/ Reverb

So it happened again... looked in my email this morning and sometime last night I bought another bass from Ebay. A 1994 Warwick streamer 6 string. Total suprise to me this morning. Same thing happened a few years ago with a Warwick Thumb 6 string. I think I need to have a parental lock on my Ebay/ Reverb accounts when I'm drinking!

Anyone else's have this problem?

Wow, no recollection? It's one thing to drink enough to lose your inhibitions and buy things, but having no recollection of it is at another level. Especially when you say "again". Yes, I've drunk enough to have no memory of what happened the night before - and on more than one occasion. However, I grew out of that about 30 years ago.

So as not to be completely negative and old fart-ish, I do agree that you have good taste in basses. Even drunk.

drinking one's self into memory loss and unconsciousness? i'm no expert, but that sounds like alcoholism manifesting as binge drinking. and yes, others do have this problem.

ive had a couple drinks to put me in a good mood, enough that I bought a bass online. but never to the point where i dont remember buying it.

Actually, I'm more than a little surprised you didn't respond with a bunch of links to threads on dealing with alcoholism, excessive GAS, effective use of online buying sires like eBay and Reverb, etc.

I made my most expensive online purchase after 9 beers. I enjoyed the RIC 4004 for a year, but in the end I wanted something lighter with a thinner neck.
I've also stopped drinking since!

luckily i find those types of ' altered state ' shopping in my ' Wish Lists ' or ' Liked ' , ' Watched ' ...

make sure you don't have any One Button push and Buy/Pay stuff set up ..!?!

Impulse buying is the number three killer of marriages, behind infidelity and financial struggles. Or it should be. If you can afford it and won't lose your shirt flipping it once the romance ends, no problem.
