What were you drinking, because a lapse in memory like that takes a specific combination of "potential side effects" for me that I will not mention in public.

Drinking and Ebay/ Reverb

Another reason I can't be in a band. The local bands have their bust-up break-up dramatic posts on Mondays after a weekend of gigging together & the main reason is alcohol.
Yeah, well, for most things these daze, I have no more words.Actually, I'm more than a little surprised you didn't respond with a bunch of links to threads on dealing with alcoholism, excessive GAS, effective use of online buying sires like eBay and Reverb, etc.
The short answer is ‘no’.
I’ve been black-out drunk 2 times in my 40 years of enjoying beer.
Scared the living ship outa me!
I’m more likely to spend impulse money at a pawn shop.
I have 2 basses from area pawn shops, and I love m both.
I think it has to do with holding/playing the bass before committing the cash.

P Bass that I bought off eBay.

As long as you spend more time playing drunk then perusing the classifieds drunk, it all balances out.

I never required the aid of alcohol to trade money for musical equipment. Most of the time I was binge drinking, I never woke up with anything to show for it other than a hangover.

I’m guilty of buying under the influence, but actually I really needed a set of vampire teeth so no harm done.
My first week on Ambien I unknowingly bought ultra-deluxe gourmet dog food, a $1,300 HUGE professional shop air compressor, and a equally huge $800 blast cabinet. I had no need for either one, but in the back of my mind I'd been thinking "it would be cool to learn to powdercoat some small stuff for my motorcycle".
Needless to say, I don't take Ambien any longer. I'm just glad I didn't have a thing for mail-order pygmy brides, or I might have had quite a surprise.

I’ve had some good times digging through eBay while drunk, some good, good times. Speaking of, I think I am long overdo, and I’ve been meaning to buy some crap I don’t yet know of.
OMG - my wife took Ambien maybe once or twice, tops. Right after starting it she sat straight up in bed and started describing the faces she saw in the quilt that were talking to her, in vivid detail.
We agreed the next day after that to dispose of the pills.

Yeah, melatonin sucks, and diphenhydramine is useless. Time to move on to the Ambience/hallucinogens. Worse case scenario...I don’t sleep but get to talk with Hendrix.
