I just took two guitars in and sold them to the local used instrument shop (Gravity Music, Denver). Both were purchased on eBay late at night, after a couple of drinks, and very little self-control.

It happens.

My most recent beer-inspired late night impulse purchase:

Waterstone TP8 eight-string. Not planning on selling it any time soon, but I am looking for a Cheap Trick tribute band that needs a bass player.

Recovering alcoholic here....brother, there's a whole community out there in A.A.. Attend a couple of meetings, if you don't connect with like people, many of whom have been through the wringer and have hit solid rock bottom, you're just out a few hours and bucks. It totally changed my life for the better; I wish there was a way to quantify all the familial wreckage that myself and the long line of drunks in my family caused... I intend to be the first of my clan to die sober.

Great thread. Is this thread "sticky-worthty" ? Maybe not.

I worked with a guy who bought new "used" vehicles on ebay on friday evenings after having more than a few drinks.
I can think of a possible new app for such purchases.

A B.A.C. reading interface for your laptop/phone/computer to enable your credit accounts prior to purchase.

Let your judge/peers/wife set the limit at which the account becomes active. .08 for some. I know for others
it wouldn't even matter if it was .0001. And yes I understand you could always get someone to "blow" for you.

Another fun game to play while drinking & ebaying is to see if you can click the buy it now button or make bid button blindfolded. You give yourself 3 chances if you fail then no harm done but if you get it you win a new bass!
