Drummer audition nightmares

I was always lucky enough to play with really good drummers: chops + ears + taste. In fact, I had an easier time finding drummers than any other player. But there was one audition...

Guy shows up with no kit and no sticks.
Us: "Where's your stuff?"
Him: "Uh...I don't have it with me now, but if you guys can front me a kit, I'm really good. You'll see."
Us: "Yeah...And why don't you have your kit with you now?"
Him: "I pawned it to buy some weed. I've still got some if you guys want some!" (He was really enthusiastic when it came time to talk about the weed)
Us: "NEXT!!!!!"

Have you actually played the drums in Rock Band? It's NOTHING like actually playing the drums. Sorry.

Similarities: You move your hands and feet a little bit...THE END.

If you play the songs on hard or expert it`s incredibly similar(especially to an electric kit). The only real difference is that you don`t have a pedal for the high-hat. Past that, it`s close enough to the real thing that if you can do it well and have at least some musical talent you can definantly pull it off.
