DRUMMER HAD A MELT DOWN..... Self managament

I am not trying to put up with it I am trying to bring the players up in level of music and maturity.

They're not going to magically get better without practicing on their own time. If the drummer is as bad as he sounds that's going to take years (as it should, even for a driven person) of dedication on his part.

I don't think you should be trying to teach maturity.

I don't get what I'm reading here. For one, it's all pie in the sky, you haven't played a gig yet, you aren't ready, and you are talking about a split of $500 in the end anyway. If that's serious money to you that you would put up with all of this, whoever is at fault, then I'd suggest you have a much bigger problem on your hands.

Regardless, the problem here is much, there's no leadership, no vision, a lack of skill, an inability to communicate, I could go on. Basically, a group of people that don't and probably can't work well together. Maybe you could all learn to, but from the attitudes I'm seeing I doubt it and I'm not sure you all should even bother. I agree that the world has heard plenty of Alice In Chains and .38 Special, I mean, don't knock yourselves out here trying to get that together and bore people with more of that for your $500.

Sorry to be harsh, but this sounds like a group of people that just inherently aren't going to be able to come together as a cohesive unit required to make any music. Your list of demands is frankly insane, your coming on here bad mouthing your bandmates (who you should really be talking to) is in poor taste, the whole project is neither artistically satisfying to you (and shouldn't be) and the money isn't all that much. Why struggle with it? Why lose friends over it? Why fight this fight?

Well I can either walk away or try and teach the drummer a thing or two. I have pointed out if he is going to make command decisions then it's a two way street. He may balk and tell me to get lost, either way he will learn lessons from my reactions. If he tells me to take a hike I will and he will sit around missing a bass player.

If anyone, even the guy who used to play here from what I assume was at least a decade ago thinks there are drummers to be had under every bush post an add in my area on CL and wait for the replies. They won't come into your in box. Same thing looking for a guitar player.

And yes I have hit the streets looking for one too. I have put up flyers all over town. Not a single phone call came in from these flyers. It's not because there are no guitar players it's because the ones who want to play are in bands, the rest are couch potatoes.

That's really an odd thing to say. Looking at my Reply to the whole situation in the OP maybe you can tell me what I said in that, that might suggest I am 16? Because I addressed it at all? OK.

You said, "this is 16 year old drama" and then proceeded to convince me that you
were in fact 16. I just can't imagine that anyone of legal adult age could come up with this stuff...

I think you are just trolling honestly. There is nothing about my reactions give the circumstances that says I am 16 and many have posted with a general slant of Agreement here. Thanks for your interest in the thread though. Cool participation.

You put this stuff out there, then when you get feedback you act like you are 16. Sorry, you have some serious growing up yo do.
