Drummer Just Quit

A decent PA for $1000.00 :rollno:

Hey, I did say "or more..." Different folks have different budgets and different needs. Some are thrilled with their SX and some think a Rickenbacker is not up to snuff. The OP didn't indicate where they are on the scale so I assumed that money was tight.

I'm going to ask. How old are you guys? Seems to me teenagers are the ones who would completely over look where they were practicing and what they were playing through when they decide it's a good idea to start telling everyone the way it's going to be. Seem's that as long as the drummer was providing all of those things for you you maybe should have listened to him more. He brought more to the table than the rest of you.

Your best bet would be to also quit the band.

Then keep an eye out. The drummer with the PA and rehersal space will certainly be creating another project, he's heavily invested in this so you can take that to the bank.

If you are really nice and appoligise and tell him your willing to work together this time he might let you in the new band.

Seems to me this is reading way too much into the OP. All he said was that the drummer quit over "creative differences." For all we know he absolutely stank (in spite of having invested in a PA), or wanted to play metal when the rest of the band was committed to jazz, or who knows what.

I don't get all the posts advising the OP to go hat in hand to the drummer just because the guy had a PA and practice space. Those things you can figure out or scrape together. But you can't rent a band member who's on the same page with the rest of the band.
