drummers you would love to play with

Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan.

Many think of him as a metal drummer which he is but he has such a good groove and is a very versatile drummer, which alot of people dont know.

Anyways yeaa it be him, and may he R.I.P

Dean Castranova,

Chad Smith,

Jerry Gaskill,

Me. :)

I do appreciate that the technology is available these days to play with myself. (Wait a minute, that didn't sound right). Though it isn't quite the same with recording as it is live. As drummer I'm my favorite bassist and as a bassist I'm my favorite drummer, for no other reason other than I know what I want from a bassist and from a drummer.

I would love to play with Stewart Copeland - just to see what it would be like to lock into that kind of syncopated groove. That tightness makes a ton of room for us bassists.

I'd love to play with Neil Peart, just because I am RUSH fan - not that as a bassist he's the best to play with (unless your first name is Geddy).

I would have loved to play with Keith Moon. Just to see if he was really as in time as the other Who guys said he was - I love his sloppy style but it would be find a place in that whacky groove.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Additionally:

Zach Hill,
Zach Hill,
Zach Hill,

and finally

Zach Hill.

Ooo and myself too. I want to see how I jam truly.

i would say the guy from incubus. he can be funky, then straight to rock and roll in the same song. it's impressive. listen to "are you in?". it's a great drum/bass combo

chad smith. he is just too good.

Brad wilk. he is my favorite. also tim commerford is my favorite. so this combo.. just love.

something about drummers and bass players needs to click. that may just be MPO. but i think it works. bass and drums make up the rhythm section, without us, there really is no REAL music.

Way too many to list-up, but I've always fancied the idea of playing with Vinnie Colaiuta. I like the way he makes odd time signatures flow as if they were just as smooth as something in 4/4. Clever guy, beautiful touch, but just one of many out there I admire and respect, I can but dream, but you gotta have dreams baby ;)

Steve Gadd
...

Right on, SoonerMatt; S Gadd would be right near the top of my list, too.

Effortless groove,
Faultless precision, and
Endless creativity on tap that's let out of the spigot at the exact moment it's appropriate.

And who else can do all the pop/rock stuff, and still do extremely credible jazz and latin??

I wouldn't mind playing with Tower of Power's David Garibaldi, too. :^)
