I've played with both of those guys, and many more, too!
Garibaldi on Roy Buchanan's Loading Zone LP (produced by Stanley Clarke!) and Jim Gordon on numerous studio sessions in the early 70's.

Phil Selway from Radiohead would be one that I'd really love to play with. I'd also say Mike "Puffy" Bordin from Faith No More/Ozzy Osbourne would be a lot of fun. And I had to look up his name, but Jason McGerr from Death Cab For Cutie really plays some interesting beats. John Bonham, Benny Benjamin, Dave Weckl Billy Cobham and Dave Grohl come to mind as well.

But I think the absolute most fun for me personally would be Carlton "Carly" Barrett. Hands down my favorite reggae drummer. So much groove and feel.

What's always funny to me is how much my style adapts with different drummers. I always sound like me, but there's just something special about playing off a great drummer and I'm often surprised by my own playing when jamming with someone new and talented. That doesn't happen with any other instrument. Sure, I'll strive to play what the song needs and mesh well with the guitars, vocals, even keys/synth, horns etc but no other instrument fundamentally changes my approach more than a drummer with his or her own voice and style.
