DST- Why????

Yesterday, I had to set back (3) wall-clocks, the thermostat timer, the microwave clock, 5 watches, the oven clock, my car clock, and my Glucose meter.
Sure, the cell phone, TV cable box,and PC did themselves, but WHY are we doing this again?

Is this dating from the 1700's, or some kind of Wiccan ritual, or an agricultural need, or a homage to the Sun God, or what??

*****'s me off. I know if was mandated to cease NEXT November, but why not NOW?

EDIT: And the coffee maker. Now I'm riled up again.

Apparently no one on earth is able to go to work at 8:00 in the winter and 7:00 in the summer.

I understand the concept - more hours of daylight after first shift ends in the summer and in the winter first shift MIGHT have some light when they go to work, but I don't understand why the whole world behaves like the numeral "8:00 AM" has been tattooed in our brains.

So I'm in PST. What would change if it were now 3:32 instead of 2:32?
It's darker than it was Saturday that's about it.

At least I got rid of this little CD player I had, I always forgot how to set the time, and had to find & read the manual.
That's something anyway.

I vote that we stick with one, either one, and leave it. If you really want to change to have more daylight at a specific time, ask your boss if you can change your hours.

Of course, I'm also all for 1 time for the world, getting rid of time zones. It doesn't matter if I work 9-5 or 5-1, 8 hours is 8 hours. That would get rid of the "1pm my time or your time?"

That might be tough (the all the World thing) but am definitely down for eliminating DST in the USA.

Or maybe the French.
Or people from Cork. That lot have a lot to answer for.
Or was it them crazy folks in the swamp playing zydeco music all night long?


If it bothers you that much, all I can suggest is throwing everything out that has a clock on it.
You'll be a lot happier.:)

So, e.g we leave for Dublin Ireland from LA CA at 10 AM PST, arrive at Aerfort Bhaile Átha Cliath (Dublin Airport)
around 9 PM according to our bodies. But wait...its 5 AM here in the Emerald Isle.

Breakfast? Dinner? Late Snack? Ahhhh, the h*** widdit, gimme a Guiness!:roflmao:

I quite like the folks from Cork. Thanks to them, I got to experience some of the best flooring I have ever stood on in my life. As soon as the flooring that came in our tiny home wears out, I will 100% replace it with cork.
