I can completely understand why it appeals to the A.D.D. afflicted youth of today. Haha Kinda like listening to Super Mario Bros music on repeat sometimes to me.
Interesting textures at times, but no sense of development compositionally for me as a listener, from the DUBSTEP I've been exposed to ( and I work in a town where 50% of the pop is 20-25, and DUBSTEP is the main genre played in the dance clubs here in Banff). I think like any genre, you get a few innovators, and then all the copycats dilute the given art form till it loses favour, and the kids abandon it like a toy a week after Xmas and move on. Funny thing is when I bring up the actual genre of original 'Dub' music, none of the kids I meet are even remotely familiar with any of the artists of that musical style at all. Pretty disposable music fad in the end. Guess I just don't see this genre having the relevancy of D and B for instance over time. Just my 2 cents......
