They look great. Is there neck dive? Usually a semi hollow body without a long upper horn will neck dive.

I use wide non-slip straps and am never bothered by neck dive on any bass I've owned. The Doozy is nice and light, and is very well balanced, and is probably the last bass in my herd that I would suspect of having any tendency to neck dive.

I just spent the afternoon in the Rock Shop, they had this Duesenberg D-Bass in Sonoma Red: Invalid Link Removed.
It has tone AND midrange knobs, all passive. I was trying to get my Jamerson/reggae on through a Glockenklang, but I think I was just disturbing the rest of the customers :D.
I might be resurrecting an old thread here but I have to ask: You plugged your Duesenberg into a Glockenklang? There's something about the way that rolls off the tongue...

Curt Smith from Tears for Fears uses one of these. He has a neat one with a sweet-spot humbucker. I saw them a few weeks ago and I could instantly hear the difference in the bass sound when he swapped what looked like a Hofner for one of these bad boys. The thing was a growl machine.

Crappy photo but I couldn't find a better one :

I don't know much about them otherwise, but I was intrigued after I saw Curt playing one and then I saw this old thread pop up.

Tried one today as I was looking for a Fender Starcaster. Black finish is awesome, the guy in the shop proposed "wanna try?" just after I asked for the price , a 1700€ note.
So I did on those Markbass I'm so familiar, a CMD151 Jeff Berlin, and it´s just wow!
Never played an hollow body before, I admit I was impressed by the price, it renders deep, thick, clear lows.
I didn't find out each knob role but A wide range of different sound are available, but mainly the lows are really really clean and fat. Love it.

After tooing and froing about shipping with the seller who weren't hip to international options this baby finally arrived. It's certainly very purty and plays nicely unplugged in my office, even with roundwounds. Build quality looks first rate. The case is very deluxe, and all the case candy is there - allen keys, polishing cloth, unique style straplocks. Some flats will go on tonight for the ultimate test.

So flats the? Looking for a deep classic tone I assume.
