dumb problem with micro head.

I've been using the tc electronic BH 250/ rs210,rs112 setup for a few months now, tone, convenience, versatility are working great for me. The only drawback is when I push the volume up, the head wants to slide off the top of the cabs. Anyone have a good solution? Pretty inconvenient to grad the thing mid song.

Industrial strength Velcro or - if you want to REALLY hold it in place - 3M Dual Lock. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Here's a bit of the copy: "3M™ DUAL LOCK™ Industrial Reclosable Fasteners are a fastening solution that can replace screws, bolts, and rivets. The fasteners contain hundreds of mushroom shaped stems that snap together to form a secure attachment."

This stuff is like Velcro on A-Rod and Barry Bonds steroids. It's pretty stout!!

A folded up drawer shelf liner the kind that is nylon net dipped is sticky foam works great 3-4 layers.
Thick enough to make a pad. The stickiness will hold onto the surface of the underside of the head and the cab. I do this with all of the micros I have owned. I have a smooth surfaced Mesa cab that practically jumps when I hit a low B... the head stays in place.
Part of the issue is the pull of the cables is more than the weight of the head. To solve this I use gaffes tape to secure the cables so they don't pull on the head.

Good suggestion from /\/\3phist0. I forgot about this stuff. I used to use it offshore .. it will hold your soup in place up to about 10 - 12' waves. Beyond that, go to Velcro or one of the similar products mentioned.

Put the amp on a piece of non-slip non-adhesive shelf liner cut to the size of the amp. Roll it up and stash it in the gig bag. It won't slip.

Edit: Mephisto got in there ahead of me. Same stuff probably.

Yup that's the stuff... don't forget the gaffers tape.. not duct tape gaffer tape sticks like crazy but won't leave glue behind. It's like post-it notes for cable monkeys. ..
