Dumb question (maybe)

I’ve been doing a lot of reading on this subject and I have a question. I apologize if this is a double from somewhere else and if it is, please just paste the link here and I'll go read it there.

Question: I'm running a CS800 with a Peavey Bassist pre-amp in bi amp mode using each channel of the CS800 to power a different cab, both 4 ohms (a 4-10 for highs and an 18 for lows). I would like to run it in full range mode and I'm looking at an 8-10 cab that is rated at 4 ohms. The CS800 is rated at 400WRMS per channel into 4 ohms and 800WRMS bridged into 8 ohms. Would I fry my amp if I ran the 800W bridged into a 4ohm cab? Would the amp "protect" itself since the specs say that it clips at 900W into 8 ohms in bridged mode? Please help edjumacate a FNG.
:hmm:
