Dunlop 65

I tried this stuff on my Fender Aerodyne today. It is a black bass made in Japan. Standard finish. I applied it with a Fender cloth that I bought in the store with the polish. A yellow one...................

Anyway, I have to say that I did not like this stuff. It left a film on the bass that no matter how much I wiped, it would not come off. Finally, I used some warm water with some detergent and the bass came out really nice.

My question is, what can I use to remove the small scratches that develop on the finish where there is no pick guard? What can I use to prevent more scratches from developing?

Thanks

steve

just about the only thing you can do to prevent scratches is put your bass on a hermetically sealed cabinet and don't ever touch it. Nothing will prevent scratches during normal use of the instrument.

As far as what you can use to remove the scratches, granted that they're not too deep, Meguiar's #7 followed by #10 and if you want a really high gloss, finish that with #17. It's applied the same way car waxes are.
