Dunwich Amplification General Discussion

I personally never really liked the ODB because it is a little too vintagey and tubey so I'd add to the chorus of yeses. To me the VT is far superior for my purposes, which is a more hi-fi trebly crunch, although it does have the tight lows too.

Question for anyone who has owned an ODB

Do you feel it can achieve a kind of vintage/bluesy OD kind of like Jack Bruce/Cream kind of tone?

It hasn't been an objective of mine. I might give it a shot, in the near future. I did just acquire another OCD based device (COG 66 Mini) and it is certainly in the same family, but also a different animal.

Did you try any of the low-cut settings on the ODB? Those focus the dirt on the mids and highs. Obviously the low end is thinned out, but I compensate by boosting lows via the bass EQ knobs on the pedal and/or my amp.

I've been using the ODB for more mid chunk and/or presence, but I'll try to dial up some Cream/Free/Mountain/GFRR goodness with it this weekend (busy gig weekend for me).

Thank you everyone. I had a inquiry via email and I figured you folks were the best people to ask

Also the 125B WF is moving along

Hey guys, big fan of the Dunwich Pedals, next purchase is for sure going to be a VT, my question is does the builder do them in batches, therefore I just gotta wait it out until they go up for sale again or until someone sells one in the classifieds? Just starting to get into the pedals small builders build, and I only have experience with Damnation.

Yep, that's basically it - wait for the next batch or a used one.
