Dunwich Amplification General Discussion

Good work takes time. In this quickie, big box world it is hard to get out of the cycle of instant gratification. I waited a year for a run of the Volt Throwers when I learned about them. I think I waited a year to a year and a half for the ODB.
You kids have it lucky these days, I tell ya!
Going back to a "craftsman" level of things means changing our expectations a little. I'm not some crazy anti-Globalization freak, but if I can have a pro make something and pay a little more while waiting a little longer, I'll do it. I just wish a had some kind of talent or creativity I could do that with myself. Turns out being a knowitall isn't very profitable.

Ugggh, it's very, very hard for me to not pull the trigger on the new Wizard. I've just been thinking lately that fuzz in general is a little too unwieldy and messy for the sound I'm after, and that I might get better results with a another overdrive to pair with my ODB and Terraformer.

It is a very OD/amp-like fuzz, and not terribly harsh/synth/gated. Just saying :)
Actually, there are some Wizard settings you can "approximate" with the ODB (IME, YMMV).

Honestly, I think the thing holding me back from snatching one is the fact that I love the graphics on my OG Wizard so much more than this one... even more than getting a blend in a smaller box. Silly, but true.
