Still no Witchfinders
The Wizard is fantastic. I recently started running my Sol Invictus into it instead of after it. It’s not a bad way to annoy my neighbors.

I've been working on a some DI recording sounds. Last night I broke out the Parabellum and ran it at the front of my chain and noticed it sounded different than I remembered (and quite good). Looking back over my signal path, I noticed my compressor was after the Parabellum, and I think I had been running it before in previous configurations.
The last time I worked DI with the Parabellum I had some issues with transients oddly poking out at mid-gain settings. I suspect the three parallel circuits clip and compress differently, so the instrument signal going in plays an important role in how the pedal responds. I also suspect that the compression characteristic difference is most notable in the mid-gain range because at low gain the compression across the bands is minimal, and at high gain each band approaches a uniform "maximum" compression. So, it seems to make sense that the compressor after the Parabellum is doing its job and gluing things together.
