DX5 Pickups

Hey,
Does anyone know if Ibanez DX5 pickups sound better at 18 volts? I dont want to wire it up if there's no difference. Also, can DX5's run off of EMG electronics if I decide to pop in one EMG DC-40 instead of two?

FWIW:

18 volts will not change the sound, it would add headroom (which in my recall, EMG states on their site). 18v is a simple, quick, cheap conversion that you can check yourself and know from experience.

EMG electronics are compatable with all pups to my knowledge except when EMG specifies otherwise - as with their blend unit in their "system" preamps.
