This is the first time I’ve encountered something like this. I installed a set of Fender 9050L flat wounds to my Jazz Bass. Within the space of two weeks my E string has developed a kink on the first fret.
My bass is a Custom Shop Jazz with original frets. The action is normal and I play with a medium to light touch. Has anyone ever seen a string do this? If so, what is the cause?
