Double Bass EA doubler for substitute a Genz-benz shuttle6.0

I play with shuttle 6.0 and at times it lacks a second Channel, I think more and more Double EA, someone you it compare the two?

I explained myself badly, sorry, actually i play with a bassmax pickup and i want mixing with a condenser mic, I read that EA was lacking power and I fear it lacks power compared to the shuttle 6.0!

Unless you're driving an arena... The EA should be fine.

I have a Shuttle 6.0 and blend a condenser mic, or a contact mic with a pickup. I use the Headway EB1 preamp into the FX return of the Shuttle. Works well, there is a lot of information on the Headway on Talkbass.
A lot cheaper than buying a new amp.

I guess all specs are figured differently, but if you look at compare specs for two amplifiers, although the use the same power supply, the output power is different. I wonder what the frequency response is for the GB 6.0 they don't state it on their site.

Ric,

The difference in output has to do with the amount of distortion that that amp produces. EA could have tweaked more power out of the ICE Module but at the cost of too much distortion for our liking

I kinda suspected since EA rates the power output for the full range of frequency response.

There really isn't that much difference between 310 and 375 watts or 550 and 600 watts. It's only about a half dB difference for either set of numbers. Not enough to get concerned about IMO.

Yeah, I always forget about this since my amps are rated 400 and 600 watts respectively into a 8 ohm load so I get more power when they are used with a 4 ohm speaker cabinets.
