Early EV B215-M cab - what speakers are these?

That Road amp looks right at home. Very cool cab. And only predates the current woofer/mid craze by about 30 years See kids, I told you we were doing this stuff decades ago...just weighs a hell of a lot more!

My first "real" bass cab, they came loaded with 15L's, not 15B's.

Heavy as hell, but nice sounding beast. Picked it up in the early 80's, maybe 79...

I had the 2-15 and still have the B115M
Both my cabs had the EV logo in white and the 15L's
The tone was really good but I was a bit disappointed by the lack of clean SPL vs. weight even for an older designed cabinet

Mine has 15L's. I stripped it and covered it with bed liner. I also pounded out the steel mesh grill and painted it glossy black. I wish I could find that same aluminum extrusion because I screwed up and put bed liner all the way to the edges, so the aluminum is just a bit short now. Dumb mistake.

The thing I like most about this cab is that it doesn't go TOO low. My drummer has an Acoustic 810 and the bottom end on it is out of control, literally. I can't eq out the huge rumble. The mids on this EV cab are oh so sweet! Yes, it is a heavy b@$+@rd, but my band mates like it enough that they help load it in and out when I choose to gig it.

This is a smoking cabinet. I bought it new in 1980 or 81 and played many a gig with it. Heavy at 120 lbs but easy to maneuver. Tilt it back on the truck bed and slide it in. Put your over sized, too heavy head on it and roll into the venue.

I was sad a few months ago when I missed out on a pair of the 1x15s in this style that were in really nice shape, about 75 miles away from me for crazy cheap (maybe $300 or less for both).
