Eart basses???

Found them on Ebay, never heard of them. Has anyone tried or heard of these? Supposedly chinese made. They have a jazz bass in roasted mahogany, roasted maple neck and rosewood fingerboard and also a p with same body wood but all roasted maple neck and fingerboard. Really nice colors too!
The quality might be crap and the working conditions horrible. Or great craftmanship and fresh ideas and good quality and manufactoring conditions. No idea. But I would like to find out because from specs and pics the look like the perfect basses for modding and upgrading pickups and electronics (and probably hardware) to get a killer bass at a price below a squier cv before upgrades.
I don't think I have tried a mahogany body p bass before...
I saw a couple of guitar videos on YT and people are pretty damn happy about the sound and looks but some fret levelling might be required.

Thoughts?

I'd say it's easy to 'be there for you' with no dealers and maybe/maybe not support in place here in the US.

Any time I see these new names in the market, I'm usually more than happy to let them build a sales and user population and see what the word is once a lot of guys own them.

As far as an inexpensive chassis to use for mods, there's far too many better known inexpensive brands out there, as well as tons of used Fender-style basses to use, especially as you'd have a known brand name when the time comes to sell it on.

Some people go that way.
I wouldn't.
What I mean is Squier and HB are backed brands. There are people on the other end of their warranty. If you’re going to take a risk on a POS without a brand standing behind it and without an honest guarantee that you’ll get something that looks like what you are ordering why not go lowest cost? I’d pay $99 for Eart. Not $499, that’s just not savvy.

You're right, of course, and as for Harley Benton, I hope I see one hanging up at Guitar Center or Sam Ash.
Definitely want to try out any of those black satin Thunderbird clones...the ones with the tort pickguards.
Glarry?
Not for me but plenty of people here like them.
DHGate or AliExpress?
Completely off the radar.

Isn't HB the house brand of Thomann?

EART is way too close to FART.
Very first thought…I kept wanting to scratch out the horizontal line on the E in my mind. Or continue up the alphabet. But they could be good. So many things from car parts to electronics have been made in China over the last 20 yrs. I’d say they’re probably pretty good at luthiering too. My ‘01 Shen hybrid is an amazing bass. Go for it.
