This one didn't take too long, four days I think? Transcription is the quickest part, actually. It usually starts with a quick once over, then over the next few hours I'll start to notice the nuances.
I manually enter each note into a couple notation programs, edit, edit, edit, edit, scrutinize, edit some more.... then record the line and video.
In order for the tabs and standard notation to scroll correctly, I have to make sure each and every note duration and the tempo is correct then I have to synchronize that with the video and my bass recording. On top of all that, the most difficult part is getting a GOOD SOUND!!! It's so elusive.
Blah blah blah.... it's a whole process but there's really nothing else I'd rather do since discovering this site. I spent years being a bass geek until I found this site and saw guys just as geeky as me actually do exist.
