Hey guys; if anybody is in need of a bass hardshell case or a gig bag, I have some I am going to post before long that I would love to sell locally. I have a couple of Warwick Rockbags in very good shape barely used. I have a TKL guitar gig bag. Then I also have a brand new never used hardshell case that I just bought and can't use. I was told it would fit my daughter's Warwick bass by the measurements the seller on Ebay gave me, but it does not. It will fit any standard and probably most 5 string basses but not a Warwick with a wide neck like the one we have.

BTW, I just ordered a Carvin HH2x. (Not a bass, but who cares?)
It's the Holdsworth headless signature guitar.
Can't wait to get it. 6 to 8 weeks.
Plus, just had my Silhouette Bass converted to a baritone.
I pick it up today.

Hey guys; this will get you an "Alert" on your Home Page in the right hand corner next to your Inbox when you Log On to Talkbass. Go thru this process, mark that you want to receive email notifications, and you will receive alerts and email notifications every time.
******If you log in and see the Alert, and then don't check it right then, I think it does go away after that. I am just so used to checking an alert every time I see one. If I see 3 alerts, I check them all before I do anything else. But that is just me. But again, I think they don't show the Alert symbol in red anymore once you move away from the home page.*****

Which Silhouette do you have? I have a P bass copy that plays great. I'm a 5 string guy exclusively these days but I'm thinking of stringing mine up BEAD.

Excuse my ignorance, but what are the notches in the nut for? Extra intonation feature?

Yes, the notches are some kind of intonation compensation thing. I need to compare the Bongo to my other basses to see if I can find the difference.
I think I had heard the term "compensated nut" before, but thought it was in reference to acoustic instruments. Nice attention to detail!
Yeah that's what EBMM calls it too. I believe all their current US basses have it except the Classic series.

I want a fanned fret, torzoidal neck, compensated nut, vibrato bridge, Marty Bell sparkle finish on a Rickenbacker lawsuit body and headstock.

I'm curious what you are building for a tour rig. Can you share any details, or is this private for now?
Ha! My apologies. I was totally confused as to what you were talking about. I own an Australian brand bass that was pretty much an MIJ P bass. The brand was Profile and the model was the Silhouette (P bass). It's just a good nuts and bolts P bass.
I'm going lightweight and as small as I can stand. Ugh... remember my dual Berg NV rigs and 2 GB Shuttle 6.0s? Then it was two Eden WT800s powering 3-way Carvin PA cabs = 1600 watts baby!! My tour rig will be a Shuttlemax 9.2 and two Aguilar 1x12s :-/. I hope I can get a sound I like.
Well, small I can't help you with brother, but if you hit some stadiums I have some serious Phil Jones schleppage sitting extra in the garage with your name on it!
