East Tennessee Talkbass

Slim chance for me tonight. We have company in. Plus, I am trying to get my act together to get in the studio for some simple cover stuff for a promo pack.

I had taken the bass off of the market as I found out I had a 7 month wait for a Super P. Last week a fellow TB er called me to tell me his buddy was interested. Frankly I blew it off. Well, he ran me down today.

I think I can put together a deal for a Dingwall Super J5 on Monday. Then I'm covered on a 5 until the PZ-5 gets built.

63 Fender NAV P in sexy sonic blue should be in next week as well.

Surely there will be something for you to fondle.

Kill it tonight, sir. Mrs. Zoomie and I will get out to support you one of these evenings.

Make it funky !

I wont have this buckled down until Monday so I dont want to put the cart before the horse. That said, anyone that doesnt have a cowboy belt buckle or a handful of pimp rings on is welcome to try anything that I have.

I already messed up once. Sold two basses that I play regularly figuring that it's a tight economy and how hard could be to find a Super P. I'll tell you how hard. There is only one for sale and that is in the UK. That's it ! Otherwise its get in line with a 7 month wait.

I should have a few tasty tidbits next gtg. The faital loaded Dually, the new Greenboy F115, A Ding, and a 6SL7 pre that sounds so ridiculous it's not even funny. It's also possible that I can be talked into bringing the 67 Ampeg B-15N Portaflex for anyone that has never run in to one. The tone to end all tones. Oh and the New American Vintage 63 P as well.

You know, I was just thinking, if the group is interested, I may be able to sweet talk Dukeorock (Mark at BNA Audio) to come in to town and bring some Greenboy - Fearful cabs depending on what hasnt been purchased or borrowed. That's if he is not gigging or out on tour.

If timing permits, I can see if he has anything that someone would be interested in playing and make a run down to borrow it for the weekend.

Mark is a great guy to talk to about cabs as he plays both (very loud) upright and electric. I could chat with the guy for days. He is one of those rare individuals that shares everything. More importantly, if he doesn't know, he will tell you so.

Need a favor if possible. Does anyone (relatively local) have a Reddi by any chance that they would entrust to me very briefly? We are in the studio in two weeks to knock out a couple of covers and two originals for a promo pack. My pre will not be done in time.

I would be happy to throw you a couple of bucks or take you to dinner as well as leave any form of security that would make you feel comfortable. Check, cash, equipment of equal value. copy of my DL, etc.

Anyone that knows me knows can attest to the fact that I go to great lengths to keep my gear absolutely spotless. The Reddi will be treated as such and will not leave my sight.

Fee free to PM me if you think that you can help.

Oh and for those that care, The Dingwall Super J5 will be here tomorrow !
