I can use the DI off of the Streamliner but if I mic a cab, I am worried that will be too much. Thought maybe the Reddi would be just perfect.

I went through heck trying to find one.

The Super P's are even worse. Seven month wait and the only one that I know of for sale new is in the UK. Crazy.

I am sure that the Pavel helped to console you.

Two days ago I saw the vendor pics and about had a heart attack. Yellow cast and most grain washed out. The Dingwall guys rode me like a cheap tricycle for even thinking that Sheldon let something ugly out of the shop.

I have to sleep with this thing for next couple weeks until I know it like the back of my hand. I am on bass restriction from the rest of the stable.

I played it for 4 hours last night and when I was too tired to play anymore, looked at my other basses on the wall and had the overwhelming desire to throw rocks.

I'll somehow suffer through.

Jedi, you may be right from the perspective that I have never played a USA Lakie in the mix. The DJ5 was a Skyline. And as much as I loved it, it isn't even in the same realm of bass terror.

For the tone I was looking for, the Super series makes me weak in the knees. So much so that after the first song at rehearsal last night, I knew that I must order a Super P today to have death from depths, in the form of evil twins.

There has been no better time in music history to be a bass player. We have as many choices as guitar players now.

Wow ! That is stunning ! I love the contrast of woods with pu covers/ramp and the face of the bass.

While I have no problem letting you have your way with with the Super J, I am not sure I want to see that, touch it, or hear it. I cannot afford to fall in love with anything other than Dingwall And trust me when I say that Dingwall is slumming when they sell me an instrument.

That said, I am certain that we can arrange something. Let me settle in to this thing. I can't afford to be clamming it up with this promo recording. Have put myself on personal restriction from any other bass until I clean up my knuckle dragging, hackalicious, string thumping. Apparently I was getting away with murder on the P's, J's and Lakie. Woodshed restriction before Dingwall calls the bass police and impounds the Super J because I am not qualified to operate it!

Yeah, no comparison between a Korean or Indonesian bass (Skyline Lakie) to a Dingwall like yours!!

US Laklands are equal, better, not better, etc... opinions .

I couldn't adjust to the Dingwall bridge slope and had issues with chording up high on the neck.... but I've never played the shorter scaled J and Ps... just played Afterburners and tried Jeff's super nice Dingwalls.

Richard, I assure you that I don't deserve to play my gear. 9 out of 10 bass players will hear me play and swear the I am the president of the Crappy Bass Players With Really Nice Gear club. I am a root note riding fool. Heck, some country one five lines sound like Victor Wooten compared to my playing.

That said, the tone of me camping those Low E ringing half notes will bring tears to your eyes ! rofl

Seriously, many of these instruments are affordable if you go through every piece of gear and bass you own and decide what is critical. I have been selling off everything not nailed down. Heck I even have a factory sealed Kilo that I am letting go. When the dust settles, I will have 4 basses, a big rig, a mini big rig, and the 67 Portaflex. That's it.

The cash from extra pick ups, pick guards, DI's, whatever is lying around, adds up quickly, making purchase far less painful as well as staying far away from dumping it on a CC.

ANd I have heard you play via your vids. You are more than worthy of playing any bass that speaks to your soul, regardless of price. Your wallet may not be worthy, but you clearly are.

I am really excited about the variety of basses that we have in the region. Lots of folks have basses that I have never been able to try out.

A spring GTG is a must. Short of death, I will make this one as missing the last one crushed me.
