Eastwod Classic 4: bridge problem?

I know several people here have experience with the Eastwood Classic...I recently picked up a used one, and when I got it the bridge had a problem. The screw posts were "leaning" towards the tailpiece, due to the fact that they weren't screwed very securely into the wood of the bridge. (see pics below) After removing it and tightening them down a little, it seemed to help the problem, but of course this affected the setup of the bass too.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar on this bass (or a similar semi-hollow type bass)? And should I be concerned? Should I look into replacing the bridge?

user reports are that they're hit or miss. my band has an Eastwood endorsement, and my guitarist sometime uses his Joey Leone signature 6-string... which is a great guitar, but costs $1200. the affordable stuff ranges greatly in quality. I've played several of their basses at NAMM and at Truetone... but despite the endorsement I'm not itching to get one of my own.

however, some folks on here love theirs. different strokes, as they say.
