Eats like a Steak?!

What does that mean?!

There is a commerical for (I think) Ruby Tuesday, they are advertising a super bad ass burger, which I'm sure is amazing. But the chef guy says, "It's a burger that eats like a steak."

Is this a common term, or is this guy just insane?

he's insane. he's making things up. he's creating nonsense under the guise of Culinary Art. he's inventing, and he's nuts. he's propagating pure drivel and should be locked up because of it.



seriously, maybe it means it's really tough for a hamburger? or very filling? the only other time i've heard the "eats like a ..." thing is with campbell's chunky: "soup that eats like a meal." it's a strangely-worded way of saying "this one can of soup will make you as full as a whole meal." i think...

The idea is steak is premium whereas a burger is of lower quality. That is not always the case, I've had horrid steaks and succulent burgers.
