EB VP JR Volume pedal question

So I was on the market for a new volume pedal and actually ordered the wrong one. I ordered the VP JR 25k #6181 instead of the Mono volume vpjr #6180. I am mostly playing a passive bass (Rick 4003) so I intended to order the mono, but ordered the 25k on accident. It seems to do everything I want, but my question is what would the plus of getting the other pedal be? Would there be any improvements in sound/swells using the mono with my rick as apposed to the 25k?

I do occasionally play an active fender jazz bass, so having one that would accomodate both wouldn't be a bad thing. Any help is greatly appreciated TBers!
