Notice that it says shipments may be DELAYED

Also see these screen dumps

This one shows destination US and on route.

Now this next screen dump is important, so please take note. These are the travel times listed from China. The longest time to the US is ** 62 DAYS ** and we know from the other screen dump that shipments may be delayed.
So a person can't even get worried till probably 90 days from shipping date. But smile because the same chart says it could be as short as 8 days.

Now I'm going to grab a Maker's Mark and Coke and play my bass. Not worrying about losing my money because eBay stands behind it and I also used PayPal who also stands behind it. So I have nothing to lose and a few basses to gain.

Keep Low:bassist:

I might suggest you edit out your tracking numbers.......... just to be safe.

Not sure how posting tracking numbers compromises anything. Seems to me that on another seller's listing, multiple people received the same tracking number. Wouldn't this seem like good information to share? It would be reassuring if people here saw that their numbers are different. The person you replied to has two basses en route, and both tracking numbers are the same. Hopefully that's just one shipment but I'm not sure why they would be listed that way.

I'm not worried about the tracking numbers but each bass has a different tracking number.

Not that anyone on this site would be malicious enough to compromise another's order, but in case there is a claim for loss and someone uses these numbers the poster might not be able to collect if he has an issue. I'm sure I'm being paranoid, but I also have 24 gig of hard drives with my info rather than trust the cloud.

Just my own feelings, is all.

Saw this on the China Post website. Lots of good info regarding shipments from China listed there.

China Post Update on Coronavirus

The USPS passed along the following messages which it received from the UPU concerning the coronavirus and both China Post and Hongkong Post

The designated operator of China (People's Rep.), China Post, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that, in order to prevent the risk of further transmission and spreading of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), China Post has been instructed by the Chinese government to disinfect all mails destined to or transiting via Wuhan at its processing centre.

So far it seems only Wuhan is affected but who really knows?

Nothing wrong with being careful and if this was a sale worth thousands of dollars, I'd be more concerned. But it's small time money in this case. That said, when selling items or posting pictures I try to cover the serial numbers just in case. You never know when someone might try and report your item as stolen from them as a way to get a hold of it. A friend had that happen once with a sale he had on CL. He had the original receipt and the cops backed his side.

Hmm, I ordered from robhe on Feb. 27, and thought that I might actually receive a bass or at least something after receiving a tracking number that showed it shipped on Mar. 3. However, I just noticed that the destination according to China Post's website is the US, and my shipping address on the eBay order is correctly shown as in Japan…

I had been scratching my head because normally when an item passes through the outbound office of exchange the tracking starts appearing on the Japan Post site, which it hasn't in this case. It does appear on the USPS site though.

I live in England. He replied to me on eBay saying it's coming via the US...

Yes, so far it seems all stock is sent via the US. Some of the packages seem to have arrived in the US already, so people there should start getting them soon. Mine were sent February 28, March 1 and March 3, so I expect to see them arriving in the US and being shipped to Norway within the next few days.

Indeed, but it still wouldn't surprise me. I've ordered stuff from the US before that criss-crossed around Europe for days on the way. My Barefaced cabinet traveled from the UK, via Germany and Denmark before arriving in Norway. Letters sent within my city travel to the other side of the country to be sorted and sent back.

Bulk shipping does travel strange routes.

"Being paranoid doesn't mean they're NOT out to get you".

These tuners were very quick from China. (And are nice pieces) Ordered 2/24, arrived today 3/07.

Another item from the same seller on the same day is coming separately (seems a waste) and is still enroute.

I have other items ordered earlier that haven't arrived. One item shows no movement and the seller isn't responding, that one will probably result in a case and a refund.

Just sharing how it goes for those who haven't ordered from China before.
