Ebay buyers not paying, coincidence or SCAM?

I sold two crown amplifiers ( $530.00 & $1225.00 + taxes and shipping fees) on Ebay last Friday. Have not received payment yet have contacted one who said he paid with his Visa, he said he would check on it. He was from Houston. The other gentlemen never replied back, my bad I forgot to check no international sales. He was from Vietnam. But seriously I've sold items on Ebay for over 10 years and never had a payment problem till now is this the new norm? I just can't believe that scammers are that prominent. Thanks for any feedback.

I pretty much gave up on selling anything worth over $50 on the bay when they decided buyers were more worthy of protection than sellers. I still buy there, but only small (value) items.
