Am I wrong or is this an extremely high price for a bass that looks to be refinished and is missing the original case. Any thoughts?

If you can afford it and want it that what you'll have to paid for it. Not me I can buy me some real nice basses for that kind of money. As far as the finish it look ok, well care for.

Holy cow. I can't wait for one of our resident experts to weigh in, but this looks like the real deal. The description admits to the refin, I think the neck has been coated too. Still, 1953??? The hardware looks original. Wow.
