Anyone heard anything about this? Essentially you create wiring preset using your laptop or iPhone and store them as presets with your 5 way selector switch.

Pretty cool but I an not really someone that changes EQ much on a gig and I don't mind changing basses.

Very innovative in any case but likely not something I would get all horny over.

I think it might be interesting for those who think it might be fun to choose your own EQ points rather than letting Sterling and Dudley choose them. Although I have to say...they've done a right nice job so far.

Honestly I am not the person this is marketed towards (I am a set it and forget it guy and I play basses with one pickup) but the theory behind this is pretty revolutionary.

I wonder how bassists will take to this. Judging by the huge Fender J and P sales and the popularity of reissues, bassists aren't always the most progressive thinking bunch.

The iphone integration is a really cool touch.

Once companies started using CCAs instead of old hard wiring this was due to appear at sometime. This isn't necessarily a super "game changer" but a very cool and useful tool for someone who has a wide variety of sounds they need to access during a gig. Much easier then fiddlin' with knobs and amp EQ.

As you know, if you have a POD, BOSS or some of the other pedal and rack mount pre-amps you can already do this, but having it right there in the bass is fantastic. I think if more instruments are going this way it makes the opportunity for a cost effective 1000W amp. Tech 21 already is nearly there with the Landmark amps that offer powered cabs to pair with your SANSAMP pre-amp, so now you can almost use just the bass and a powered cab.

Interesting. There is the Gene Simmons approach (volume knob on bass only) and now we are getting closer to the Gene Simmons approach on the amp (volume knob on amp only.)

It's cool, but too much twiddling for me. I get lost when there's an "extra" mid knob on my Stingray.

Neat, idea, but it's not something that appeals to me as a concept for bass. Looks like it could be a winner with the 6 string guys though.

Cool...that and given NAMM is here...I'm sure we'll be hearing more about this, very shortly. I'm real intrigued by this. This looks pretty cool. Wonder if it's going to be an option you can add to any instrument, or just on the Reflex models.
