Ha- just noticed Sweetwater has an HD Yellow 5HH in if anyone has a brave color sense. The neck looks sweet- nice bird's eye, and it's just a little over 9 pounds. Glad I got my white one or I might dare myself to rock that banana. I kind of like these. Go yellow!

That yellow looks nice. I’m confused on the pricing in the Specials . I realize there is an upcharge for ebony boards, and burst finishes. Why is there an upcharge on the yellow and natural finish?

Good question.

I think I read somewhere (or read it about Fender) that they use nice pieces of wood for natural finishes.

For the yellow, I’d guess maybe because it’s going to be unusual, and maybe the tint actually costs them more? But maybe they just have to get all the spray rigs cleaned out for it only now and again.

However looking through Sweetwater I’m kind of confused overall. Maybe they haven’t posted all the increases yet?

I could be wrong, but I believe the upcharge on the yellow is for the stealth-black hardware and pickup.
