Their sparkle finishes are really nice. They look even more amazing in person. One thing I would like to see them do in future runs is more translucent finishes. That raspberry burst or whatever it's called is soooo sick. More of that sort of thing for me.
I didn’t think i’d like the sparkle in my Snowy Night, but i actually like it a lot.
They don’t seem to pop out enough on that finish for me. I would love a white with some gold sparkles in it and gold hardware.
I’m not usually a big fan of sparkle, so i like that it’s a bit understated.
I think the color are great, keeping classics (honey burst, black etc..) and adding some news one quite regularly.
I like how they surprise me (making me fond of gold hardware...that's something I would not have thought falling for). On top of it they have the BFR and special run (GC's, Sweetwater etc..)

I'm not sure what's disappointing about this batch of colors, but to each his/her own. I think EBMM's finishes are among the best and boldest in the business.
Snowy Night needed an ebony fret board to make it pop. I for one am not fond of any of them using gold hardware, I think it makes them look cheap like costume jewelry. Of the bunch Burnt Ends and Raspberry Burst are the only ones I think are tasteful or that I'd even consider. Amethyst Sparkle is down right gaudy. No offense meant to anyone who owns it.

But it definitely isn’t for the faint at heart. You like your basses to look like brisket and ice cream . I like mine to shine like precious jewels adorned with pearls and gold. Just like my jewelry box. What lady doesn’t like to shimmer and shine.

I don’t really love some of the current colors, but the tectonic blue I got is about my favorite bass color ever especially with a black guard. The sparkles are there but medium flake rather than large and the darker shade of blue understates a bit. It doesnt shine unless the light hits it. Fits my style.
I have to give them credit for unique variety though. I would like to see more metallics like a silver, charcoal, or emerald green. Bursts and naturals are fine but they don’t catch my eye. Just my lame opinion.

Pretty gaudy . But if we all liked the same colors I guess it would be a boring world. I'm ready for some fresh new colors, seems likes it's been forever. There appears to be a shortage of Specials also. Two years ago there was a palette of available colors to choose from.

Perhaps you could post a picture to show how it looks with a black guard. You're right, color is undersated until the light hits it, then it becomes a monster!

I haven’t been a huge fan of all the newer colors they’ve had, but they’ve had some great ones and I’m happy that they do some more exciting things than other manufacturers. That said, Sweetwater carriers 3 or 4 different sparkles that all look the same to me. It’s kind of weird.
Of course! Im not a huge fan of moto so I bought this knowing black was going on it asap.
The Tectonic Blue sparkle looks really subdued and dark in that shot but I know it screams with life with some light shed on it. I just may get a black guard. Thanks for the photo.
I'm a fairly low-key person, but I love my gaudy Amethyst Special, even with its cheap costume jewelry hardware.

Can’t argue with that, love the ebony on my Tony Franklin, and it would look great. Hmm, i have some stain that i touched up a couple light spots on my TF with, wonder how that would take on my Snowy Night?
