I can completely understand if you don’t like the current finish options.
But your statements that use likely and seemingly have no merit . Also , not everyone prefers ash. Just because there is a shortage does not make it superior. I prefer alder and have sold off every ash bass I’ve owned because I don’t like the super scooped tone it produces. I would never say alder is superior even if happens to be in short supply . Some people prefer translucent finishes with fancy grain.
I happen to prefer sparkle!! The more flakes the better for me. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to start saying my preference is likely or seemingly superior.
