...Yet! ;) The Stingray Special should complement my 2007 ceramic-pickup Stingray 5 very well. Unfortunately I can't justify another bass right now without also selling one that’s in my small collection, and I don'twant to get tid of any of them. So I'm kind of waiting to retire so I can buy one as a retirement gift to myself.

I feel your conundrum. I am retired and I have to be careful about what I can buy, especially when it comes to an instrument that may be somewhat redundant AND costs thousands of dollars. Although I really want a 5HH since I only have 5H's at the moment.

I never understood white pickguard with sunburst. Looks great with black and I bet it sounds better too!

Droolworthy!!! :drool:

To be honest, I do like the white pickguard on it. But the black pickguard and black edges of the bass frame the interior colors so nicely and really makes them stand out.

Lovely looking bass!
