Since I just received a new one in the mail this week as well, I got to ask how your action was when you got it?
I ask because mine was amazingly perfect. I could not believe how well it played out of the box compared to other instruments I have bought in the past.
The whole instrument impressed me more than any other instrument I have ever bought. This was refreshing since I had just returned a new Gibson that had arrived in extremely poor shape.

Sine this purchase of the new StingRay I am thinking of ordering another model from them. I haven't been able to put my new bass down, which I am sure you will find to be a problem you will deal with as well.

They are definitely addictive . The quality that you get for the money is really a great value in my book. I think they are truly boutique level as stated in another thread.

Mine arrived set up perfectly as well. And it was my purchase of a Caprice and being overwhelmed by the quality that led me to feel comfortable with ordering one in my choice color rather than the 2nd choice color that was in stock.

I think Ernie Ball MusicMan is the top tier of factory made guitars. Again...
Boutique level at made in the USA factory prices.

I have somewhat accidentally accrued a number of Music Man instruments. I first got a guitar on sale at a GC many years ago and found myself returning to it again and again, marveling at the quality. Not bling, but really thoughtful details for the player. A solid instrument that intonates well and is rugged enough for the real world, and pure pleasure to play.

Anyway fast forward to bass. Same thing. Just very fine instruments out of the box.

I don’t blame you for entertaining the thought of adding another one!

TBH the E, A and D (G was hit or miss so it could’ve been me) strings are buzzing on a fret so I need to take a deeper look. Of course it was slightly out of tune as well. Not sure how much setup Sweetwater does. I literally played it for 30 seconds though and otherwise it feels great.

Thanks, I was wondering about if the setup on mine was from Music Man totally, or if maybe Zzounds had something to do with it.
.... to prove this I'll have to have my wife approve me of another bass from Zzounds...
