Am I the only club member with a Charging Green?
Love the color choices EBMM have offered for the Specials. I'd honestly be happy with any of them.
I am GREEN with envy over these. But also love the copper, which came my way first. That is a beauty! I have yet to see one in person.
Could you please provide more pictures? A charging green 5H is definitely in my plans. Or a 4H (but then I'd probably use my '83 ray less; so maybe not...)

I had a terrible time trying to decide on a color. I ended up getting the Chopper Blue because it was already in stock and at 8 pounds 14 ounces it was the perfect weight. It was one my top 3 favorite colors.

I'm in this camp, though I am curious to hear an 5HH special compared to the older 5HH I just sold. While it could get some very nice tones, the only position I really ever used was the bridge pickup. In the middle position, you got a fantastic bedroom tone that had a real thick finger style tone and great slap tone, but live I always preferred the sound of just the bridge pickup as the scooped tone of position three could get covered up quick. Same goes for the neck pickup - great almost P bass tone (to me at least, I'm nowhere close to resembling a P bass guy), but I never used it. The other two positions were great for getting close to a jazz sound, but if I wanted that, I'd be gigging my DJ5.
I do find the 5H Special to be able to achieve a much thicker, punchier tone than my 30th Anniversary SR5 or my older '88. To me, the 5H can get into the same territory as the older 5HH with the selector in the middle position, but with only pickup. The EQ on the Special seems much more powerful, but it's not replacing my other SR5s anytime soon.

I know EBMM guitars are made to order and they don’t build stock which means these instruments must be in pretty short supply. I wonder how many people even own these beautiful instruments that we are all fortunate enough to have grabbed.

They are also getting a 5HH in Charcoal Sparkle on Thursday. I almost waited on that one.
So...what do the husbands tell their wives about bass purchases? Ask for permission or beg forgiveness?
My wife actually told me to go get this one. She's supportive.
