Gorgeous top! And I like that the back is nicely finished as well.
It finally has arrived! Love the neck, the finish, THE WEIGHT!!! (3,9 Kg / 8.6 lbs), KILLER B-String!
Everything is SO good... EXCEPT: The toggle switch is not working correct. I get the serial mode, but the other two are just really really quiet and there's a slight hum. It worked for the first 10mins and then went really quiet. I guess it's just a bad soldering joint. Anyway... I'm NOT gonna send this one back, it is SO good and this particular model and color only come every 6 months or so over to Germany.
Has anybody a Stingray Special wiring sheet so I can fix the one issue?

Beautiful wood grain on the fretboard!! Congratulations !! I happen to think this is one of their best finishes , ever!!

This is my only problem with EBMM... they have so many nice finishes that it can be hard to choose between them . This is one reason that I have so many.

I love that! And you don't see many of them, either. IF it were me, I'd probably snag it. HOWEVER... It sounds to me that as much as you like it, your heart is set on the Hot Honey (which is also stunningly beautiful). Sorry I'm no help. Maybe flip a coin, and while the coin is in the air, if you find yourself hoping for one outcome over the other, there's your answer...
Yea it is nice. I need to photoshop a tort guard to see how it will looks. I am not a pearl fan. Also, it's not just simple choice, like I said there's also a massive price difference. That's certainly the case with this year's finishes! This is a much better set of choices thsn the previous pastels, in my opinion of course.This is my only problem with EBMM... they have so many nice finishes that it can be hard to choose between them . This is one reason that I have so many.

And I was quite happy to see the Hot Honey. It's not exactly Honeyburst, but it's close enough that it makes even me, the world's biggest Honeyburst fan, swoon.
Maybe part of the reason I like this year's choices so much is that I've recently broken out of the mindset of buying only sunbursts for so many years. I still love bursts and favor them, but my recent Big Al purchase seemed to suddenly open me up to other finishes.
Why tort try clear maybe it's because I hate tort.
I'm all for saving where possible. Go for it!
I don't love tort on everything, but on shell pink it's just classic. Clear might actually look really good, althought i am typically not a fan of that or pearl. I just tend to like what was typically done at the factory in the 60s or 70s. I just like it old school and vintage looking.Why tort try clear maybe it's because I hate tort.

Brown Tort would look great on that pink. I like White Pearl on certain finishes as well (including the pink). But I think the tort would look great on it as well.
That pink is nice, but man, I’d probably shell out for the Hot Honey, y’know, because it’s so sweet. Har.

@LadyLoveStingRay5 You're recent foray into mix-and-matching has me highly considering doing a similar thing: order a 5H fretless and put that neck on my Slugger bass.
And where would you put that Slugger neck? I could take it off your hands if need be..
Make it your own !!! People do it all the time with Fenders. If you plan on keeping it, I don’t see why not.
I don’t regret my decision .
I love the enthusiasm, but I’d keep both necks and bodies, just mix em up.
But they offer almost the same neck on the custom experience. Pick maple fretboard and black blocks.
