EBMM StingRay Special Club

The page is live with the new colours now, and so is the BFR Ball Family Reserve
New prices also :) Up $250 from when I bought mine in Summer of '23 and $150 from last year

Although many of last year finishes still at old price and you can get the GC Exclusive I bought at same price today but Grape Crush over 3k now

One thing we know for sure, nothing is getting any cheaper. If you can buy used, sometimes that works in your favor. Sometimes the price is higher if it is a more are or limited piece. Im glad there are places with financing options for those who need it.

It happened. My Stingray has it's first ding....and it's a doozy. It fell over and slid down a concrete step in my garage. Ready your eyes.......here it is.🤬

How is everyone. I need some help/advice, I just bought a special 5H, I love it. I want to get a 5HH, while doing research I am saw EBMM just released a limited edition "EBMM BFR StingRay 5HH Special Paua Blue Burst. Do you all think it is worth what they are asking for $3,899. It seems the prices have really gone up in most basses, I am unsure if this is actually worth buying. What do you all thoughts.

I guess the best option you have is to play your 5H and ask if a bass of the same quality is worth that to you.

I can tell you from experience that the BFR models are worth it. I have 4 BFR/ Limited Run models and a Custom Design Experience . I bought 2 of them used for a steal. If you want one , my suggestion is buy before they are gone. If you are patient and diligent to look several times a day, you might find a used model for a good price.

The features make them worth it to me. I see Chinese and Indonesian basses now going for $3K (MTD , Dingwall) not to mention Czech made Spector Euroes. ( Before recent tariffs.)

The price and features and build quality on Ernie Ball MusicMan basses is a bargain .

My StingRays that have no pickguard all seem to be more lively . The notes really pop and sustain . They really sing. One other note…… the neck on my BFR Moonbeam is the only one of my 5 strings that moves quite a bit. But it is my best sounding . That bass really sings. The roasting does make the necks more stable. Be prepared for this with the Pau Blue BFR.

You’ll love what the 5HH offers . And yes you need both. They do different things .

"Worth" is relative. If you absolutely must have that finish and you can easily afford it, perhaps it's "worth it" to you. From where I sit that's a hefty premium to pay for a unique look. The bass won't sound or play any better than another Special 5HH that you can score for a lot less. 100% your call ;). In the end, no external force/opinion can determine for you whether it is worth it.
