Dropped Copper is correct.
Dazzler has arrived. Needs some adjustments and a string change ASAP but that will have to wait until this evening. Finish looks great in person. Here's a quick pic from my office.

No doubt. I'm glad you posted it because it does show how well it pops. But I'm also sad you posted it because now it will consume my mind 24/7.
The Darkray has some awesome finishes. I love Music Man’s sparkle finishes. Pictures don’t do them justice.
I always loved burst and naturals (still do!) but then I finally saw a Musicman sparkle finish in person - a Charcoal Sparkle. I don't think I ever saw a gray that I'd describe as "vibrant" until then. I've seen one other Sparkle finish, a teal color that I forgot the name of, and was equally blown away. Like you said, pictures couldn't do them justice.
I don't think the Musicman sparkle finishes are in general as "sparkly" as G&L's Marty Bell metal flake finishes, but I think the specific colors they've been using with their sparkle finishes are what makes the impact. My Big Al is technically a metallic finish (Metallic Candy Red), not a sparkle, but the red they used for it comes alive as a metallic. I once owned a Candy Apple Red Jazz that looked really nice, but it was much more subdued as a standard finish than my Big Al.
Indeed. Also, another great example showcasing the clean side of the Darkray. Sounds great.
They use a smaller flake size. Probably because I’ve heard large flake is a huge PITA to work with and gets all over the booth.
This was my Charcoal Sparkle a few weeks ago. Crap picture but my daughter kept remarking how the bass just glowed under the white lights. (Edit: and my head I suppose)
(Green lights by my hand are from my Alto which is powering my Subway DI V2 into the return of the meh Mark Bass head…sounded awesome!)

Great finish, I love it. Pix don't do justice..
After three years in black, went back to the OG tort. Was inspired by seeing all those hot honey pics. Still very much in love with my burnt ends.
I like that colorway a lot. I think the Hot Honey would have been nicer with rosewood.
