Reference tuner, the work around is to get a hipshot for bongo extender then just put the top of stingray special tuner onto the bottom of hipshot bongo extender fitting

Well, not to enable, but Sweetwater has 48mo financing. I'm gigging so much now that I had no choice hahaha. Why buy a bass two years from now when I might not be in any bands then?!
I just went and played my Caprice for about an hour and came to my senses . (Too good to let go. makes me play completely different) 1 Stingray5 Special will have to be enough for me.I never would have imagined selling my Caprice . But like I said, I need that B string and Oh that roasted maple neck!!
Maybe I'll wait to see if they release any new sparkle colors next year. The only thing better than having my Aqua Sparkle would be to have another great Sparkle in a nice vibrant color to serve as back up to my #1.

But darn all you 5 string enthusiasts. I just tried a 5 string Special at a GC. Darnit. Really liked it. Now browsing Sweetwater, exactly as I should not be doing.

Snap! I’ve finally ended my Old Smoothie ordeal and resigned myself to the fact that... although the Special is seriously amazing, the Smoothie just has something different that really appeals to me and does what the Special can’t. And oh my gosh, since putting the Cobalts flats on it I’m even more sure that I’m keeping it!
So I have the Special, Smoothie and a 66 P Bass. I could easily just live with the Special only, but while I can, I won’t!

Five string is new concept for me. They had a 5H at the GC I was at today, and a fancy looking 30th anniversary something with flamed maple neck; also very nice. Not heavy.
I’m a bit spoiled with lower weights of the Specials. What’s a decent five string weight? There’s one at 8.3 on Sweetwater but it’s a 5H. Think I’d want 5HH.
For me, anything up to around 8.7, but that’s being quite picky! I’m sure many folks could say under 9 or under 9.5.
I’d wait for HH too if I was getting a 5.
