What does this refer to scotch? Is there some kind of upgrade available for the Bass-Drive Mosfet?

I mean the Bass-Drive with Mosfet and Flat Mids capability.

I just bought an EBS Valve Drive. I was looking for a more vintage tube sound than I can get through my baby blue or Shuttle 6.0 and this pedal seems to do the trick. However, when I got it home my biggest impression is that this is one damn noisy pedal. Scratchy and static sounding. As warm and fat as it makes my tone, it is right on the cusp of being too noisy. Has anyone else had this experience? Any ideas of what is making this pedal make so much noise?

Perhaps you have a bad cable or tube?

I have some high end cables so I think that narrows it to a tube. Bummer; new pedal with a bad tube.

If you bought it new you should be covered, even if not a 12AX7 is purty cheap
