Okay so I just got me a Valvedrive from the Classifieds and to save on international shipping, I asked the seller not to include the power supply. I figured I'd need to buy an Ausyralian one anyway. Only problem is my local electronics shop only has a 1amp power supply while the Valvedrive has a current draw of 500mA. Would this be safe to use? Does the pedal only draw what is needed or will the extra current damage it?

The unit draws only the current it needs. It comes with a 1 amp power supply. As long as the power supply has 12 VAC out, you'll be fine.
Well im not sure about this but i just fried my EBS multicomp pedal last week due to misuse of adapters. Just remind you things from EBS seems picky for PSU. If u r not sure just email EBS.
