He had a monthly column through September 2018 issue (Marcus Miller on cover). He has also continued to make regular gear review contributions. The issue I got yesterday (October 2018) includes a note from editor Chris Jisi saying Ed has decided to "... temporarily step away from music journalism to focus on his potent playing career with the Mavericks." This new issue also has Ed's review of the Guild Starfire II .

He did stop writing for them in '04, but came back later. That link is way out of date.

I was thinking the typo was the:

I've got a 5 year sub

part, that you got a sub that was paid up into 2064.
